Excellent low-sugar dark chocolate, April 22, 2014

I hate artificial sweeteners, but I don't want to eat a lot of sugar. And yet, giving up chocolate is unthinkable! Fortunately, I don't have to consider it as long as these bars are available. They are a very rich, very dark chocolate containing only 420 calories and 10g sugar for the entire 3oz bar. Each bar is made up of 15 squares, and I find 1-2 squares (55 calories) very satisfying.

I have been enjoying the Black Panther 88% Dark Chocolate for years. It has the best flavor and texture without the odd after-taste I get from most other brands. Addictive!

I have tried many of the popular dark (70+% coca) but this is by far the best (yet). It is smooth and rich with no bitter after taste. I highly recommend anyone seeking a true dark chocolate experience, to try the Endangered Species Dark 88%. With a glass of red wine or a dark roast coffee, you won't be disappointed.

Chocolate is great, but contains soy. I will eat this until it is gone, then find something without soy. I do enjoy a few squares of this each night as a little treat.

I Love dark chocolate. This is very good. I have purchased it in the past from my co-op. It is very expensive when purchased there. It is so much more affordable from Amazon and more convenient. It also comes in small individually wrapped single servings. It doesn't take a lot of this chocolate to satisfy and it is so good for you.

This is my favorite chocolate ever! If you are concerned I suggest buying a bar of it first. Most high end stores sell it. I think chocolate is like coffee. People can be very particular about it and what one person likes another might hate. If you are a ghirardelli, Hersheys (idk is that even considered choclate?, lindt, chocolate fan (of which I am not) you will probably be disappointed because this tastes closer to real chocolate and is not as waxy or creamy. People complained about the bland chocolate taste. What makes chocolate taste strong and creamy is not the chocolate. It is the other products they put into the chocolate (most of which are terrible for you). Try eating some coco nibs and you will get a good idea of what chocolate should taste like. Once you get used to chocolate that is closer resembles chocolate nothing tastes as good anymore.

My BF is diabetic, so dark chocolate is the only chocolate for him. These bars are 3 ounces each, so it helps with portion control and he loves the dark chocolate taste. I will be ordering them again as the price is great in this 12 pack.
